Biochar Pyrolysis Equipment is a mechanical device used to convert biomass (such as sawdust, straw, coconut shells, etc.) into biochar through a pyrolysis process. Its core is to use pyrolysis technology to heat biomass in an anaerobic environment, causing it to decompose and release combustible gases and liquids, while leaving behind solid residues rich in carbon, namely biochar.
As a professional biochar pyrolysis equipment manufacturer, we are committed to providing efficient, environmentally friendly, and stable biochar production equipment to help customers maximize economic and environmental benefits. In addition to supplying pyrolysis equipment, we can provide turnkey solutions for your biochar production, which include processing, design, installation, maintenance, spare parts, and other customized services.

biomass pyrolysis process
The process of converting biomass into biochar is mainly carried out through pyrolysis technology. Pyrolysis is the process of heating biomass in an anaerobic environment to partially combust it, thereby decomposing it into solid (biochar), liquid (bio oil), and gaseous (biogas) products. Different biomass raw materials and pyrolysis conditions can affect the yield and properties of biochar. The following are the detailed steps of the pyrolysis process:

- Feed preparation: Raw materials such as crop straw, sawdust, fruit shells, and other biomass require pre-treatment. Usually includes steps such as crushing and drying to improve the pyrolysis efficiency of the fuel.
- Pyrolysis reaction: Heat the pre treated biomass in the pyrolysis furnace to a temperature between 300-700 ° C. Heating in an anaerobic environment will cause biomass to decompose, producing three main products: biochar (solid), bio oil (liquid), and biogas (gaseous). Parameters such as temperature, heating rate, and residence time can affect the proportion of products and the quality of biochar.
- Finished product collection: The three-phase products generated by pyrolysis reaction need to be collected separately through separation and cooling systems. Biochar, as the main product, is discharged from the bottom of the equipment, while bio oil and bio gas are processed separately through condensation and filtration systems.
- Cooling and packaging: Biochar needs to be cooled to prevent spontaneous combustion, and the cooled biochar can be packaged for storage or further processed.
